I'm in north Alabama and the heat is not that bad if I get in the shade a while and enjoy the hammock or picnic table. Chloe (the puggle puppy we were "fostering") loved it outside, the hotter the better, but she was so little that I never left her outside for very long. She dug a nice cool hole under the deck and would crawl in there for shade, even when I was only leaving her outside for 5 to 10 minutes. It's ok with me that the dog doesn't want to go out to play ~ it's too hot to chase the ball, and we don't have his pool set up yet. ;) LOL Neither does Jake, our 7 year old black Lab.
