Christmas gifts
We had a wonderful Christmas. I was very negligent with the camera ~ my mother-in-law got pictures as we opened our gifts, but I didn’t get a chance to download them to my computer before she and her husband left this morning. So, instead I’ll just share photos of some of the gifts I received:
Added to my Pirates collection (yippee!):
Patrick and Sawyer have heard Roger and me tell stories of how we would stay up until 1:00 or 2:00 am playing their Super Nintendo when they were kids ~ Patrick and Sawyer were in bed, of course. Roger and I loved playing Donkey Kong Country on that Super Nintendo. I think we ended up giving it to Airman’s Attic at Pope AFB when we moved to Arkansas the first time. We had so much fun playing that thing! The boys decided to get us a replacement Super Nintendo.
We’ll be looking for that Donkey Kong Country game on eBay and other places ~ if you know of one that’s reasonably priced and works correctly, let me know!
I received a new Vera Bradley purse:
Our niece and her fiancee’ sent us this fantastic stack of goodies from Harry & David ~ it came topped with a beautiful bow, but the bow has been lost somewhere in the sea of wrapping paper…..
The new Blue Tooth Jabra will come in handy when I’m driving back and forth to Patrick’s school and have an hour and a half to chit chat…..
I’m not sure you can see it in this photo, but this sweatshirt has the Lazy EA Ranch logo embroidered on it, along with my first name. Roger’s dad’s ranch in Colorado is the Lazy EA.
This beautiful box……..
contained this beautiful gift…….
Roger bought these tanzanite and diamond earrings for me on his trip to New Jersey last month. And yes, he went to Jared!

Looks like you had a fantastic Christmas, that purse is so pretty!!
I’m loving your 12 days of Christmas gift thing. Hmm…time to start thinking and planning for next year, I think!
And you’ll love Bare Minerals–I tried it a couple of years ago and am totally hooked!
Joanne
Cool purse! and the other gifts are great too. I love the thought and love that went into finding a Super Nintendo for you and Roger. Way to go boys!
I bet you are happy to have Patrick home for the holiday – and in laws too…..sounds like a great time.

My sister has a friend who works for Vera Bradley so she was able to get me a backpack for 40% off for my birthday. I can’t wait to get it!
Also, I LOVE Bare Escentuals. I have been using it for the last 4 years and I will never go back to liquid foundation. I love it because I never feel it on my skin.
Hi Kristine ~ we did have a nice Christmas. Nothing’s better than a relaxing day in pajamas!
Joanne ~ Roger’s really digging the 12 Days of Christmas gifts. Every day I’ve given him a card and a gift. It was fun to come up with 13 gifts that he needed or wanted that could include things like a date to Cold Stone or to the movies. We’re getting close to the end now ~ I have some nice little surprises in store for him!
De’Etta ~ It is nice to have Patrick around. He spent a couple of days at Ariel’s house, but he’s home again until January 6. I don’t know if you remember this, but a LONG time ago you told me that someday my sons would actually get along, and you were right. It has been so cool, so heartwarming, and so touching to see them mature and begin to really grow a close brother relationship even though they are SO different from each other. Even though his room is a constant disaster, I love having Patrick home.
Emily, so far the Bare Minerals are working well for me. We’ll see what happens this summer. I’m a fix it and forget it kind of girl. It it’s not easy and done quickly I usually give up on it. Since I live in Arkansas, wearing makeup is challenging ~ in the summer it comes off two seconds after I put it on. This summer will be the true test of the Bare Minerals for me. My Vera Bradley purse came from one of the local Merle Norman shops ~ it’s a discontinued pattern/fabric, so it was marked 40% off. I picked it out, asked the sales lady to hold it, then told Roger he could go by and pick it up! LOL Poor guy ~ he rarely gets to surprise me with presents because I usually have them already picked out! LOL
